Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to enhance connectivity to the northern regions with the launch of direct flights between Lahore and Skardu, as well as Lahore and Gilgit, starting March 31, 2025. This strategic move aims to boost tourism by providing travelers with a faster and more convenient way to access the breathtaking landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Lahore-Gilgit route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays, while flights to Skardu will be available on Thursdays and Sundays.
