Himalayan Ibex

• Found in Gilgit-Baltistan, Karakoram, Haramosh, Hindukush, Northern Chitral, Chilas

• Altitude: 3,550–5,000 m; can descend to 2,450 m in spring

• Horns: Adult males have long curved horns forming a complete arc

• Record horn: 140 cm, from Gilgit

• Hunting season: 1st October – 30th April

• Trip duration: 9–10 days, hunting 5–6 days

• Requires multiple permits (firearms, hunting, import/export)

• Found in Shimshal, Hunza, Misgar, Sost

• Hunting trip: 10–15 days, hunting 5–7 days

• Access requires domestic flight to Gilgit or long road travel

• Stalking and hunting mostly done in high-altitude mountainous terrain
