We have a four-day tour of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Islamabad is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, whereas Rawalpindi is a garrison town. The main attractions in Islamabad are the Lok Virsa Museum which displays local cultures and customs like nowhere else. Shakar Parian, Pir Sohawa and Daman-e-Koh are the nearby viewpoints perched on the mountains in Islamabad. These mountains are the foothills of the Himalayas. The Rose & Jasmine garden is also a beautiful place and should not be ignored.
One day will be spent on a drive to Taxila which is the hub of the Gandhara Buddhist Civilization. The Taxila Museum provides an impressive insight to this civilization. One of the evenings will be spent at the Rawal Lake alongside the Rawal Dam, a peaceful and serene area of Islamabad.
A drive to Murree is also part of this tour. We go to the picturesque hill station of Murree and spend one complete day there. Along the way we experience the local cuisine as well as indulge in local culture and customs.

The lush green hill station of Murree is the first choice for a day’s outing from Islamabad. An hour drive from Islamabad on a metal road takes you to Murree. Murree is Pakistan’s leading hill resort at 7250 feet above sea level, the climate here is cool in summers and very cold in winters with heavy snowfall. The town of Murree spreads over an area of 5 kilometers, in between Pindi & Kashmir points. Between the two superb scenic viewpoints lies the famous Mall Road of Murree, shopping center for all the visitors. Excursion to Bhurban, Horse riding, Chair lift ride and short walks on paved trails are other activities to do when you are in Murree.
This exciting trip will give you an opportunity to experience the real off-road adventure jeep safari with outstanding views of all the Margalla hills, Pir Panjal mountain range, and the long mountain range of Kashmir. Board on the soft top 4×4 jeep from Islamabad and drive to Ghora Gali, short of Murree. The jeep road starts from Ghora Gali and ends at Khanpur Lake near Taxila. As the jeep road is not in regular use so the road condition is not very good and jeeps will move very slow and low gears. Our first stop will be at Pharrilia, here we have a small cottage type forest house. From Pharrilia we will drive down to Pir Sohawa and from Pir Sohawa we will drive to Islamabad. After having some rest and lunch in Islamabad we will continue our safari once again and cruising through the remote jeep roads on Margalla we will reach Khanpur by afternoon. From Khanpur Lake we will drive back to Islamabad via Taxila.
